The history of the Jews in Toronto was shaped by events between the 1830’s
and 1930’s. The tour traces the origins, settlement patterns, and often-peculiar problems encountered by immigrant Jews
during that period. We will visit the site of the first synagogue, the first Holy Blossom Temple, the first Jewish area in
Toronto and then on to Kensington where 45,000 Jews once lived and worked. This Toronto Walking Tour last two hours. Tours begin at either 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. Meet at the southeast corner of Yonge and Queen.
Tour cost $25 per person.
