Yorkville today is one of Toronto’s toniest neighbourhoods. It however has a storied past
when it as a village outside of Toronto. Our tour will visit many of the highlights of historic Yorkville. Potter’s
field cemetery at Bloor and Yonge St., the town hall, Mt. Sinai hospital, the jail and firehall, and the Carnegie library.
Today’s Yorkville is much reduced but at one time included parts of the Annex and Rosedale, areas that we will visit
to see some of the great Victorian homes that still stand there. Meet at the south west corner of Bloor St and Avenue
Road in front of the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) the Michael Lin Chin Crystal Entrance. Tour begins at 10 a.m or 2 p.m. This
Toronto Walking Tour last two hours. Cost $25.
