We left Paris for the central part of France and the Rhone valley. Here at St Etienne near Lyon we were to attend the wedding of Elizabeth’s cousin. It was to be a four hour jaunt but I expected it would take somewhat longer. When we arrived in St Etienne, even after asking 4 difference people where the Hotel Golfe was, it was only my guessing where it might be did we find it. If was a three story hotel on the other side of a hill to downtown that was one of many surrounding St Etienne. The view from the hotel was west looking over a valley with rolling hills in the distance. It had a lovely swimming pool and outdoor patio. The rooms were more spacious then those we experienced in Paris so we settled in.
