Hi and welcome,
If this is the first time you've heard about NETWORK-NETWORK here's the story behind it. I have
been organising it for over 15 years now, on the third Wednesday of every month in Toronto. We start at 5 p.m. and continue
into the evening. There is a dress code of business attire. There is no charge for joining NETWORK-NETWORK, no charge for
attending and finger food is served gratis.
If we can, we convince our host location to have dancing. It is an opportunity
to network on a business and social basis. It also provides attendees with the opportunity to meet new people and renew old
acquaintances. These networking meetings consist of men and woman 35 to 55 years of age who have white collar jobs, are reasonably
affluent, solo, rather than single. About 40 -40 people show up. At Christmas and special events even more people
show up.
The age group is basically baby boomers, although I prefer to call them Seasoned Youth. You won't find most
of them at the hot dancing spots at 2 a.m. in the morning in the Entertainment District downtown, and most are two decades
away from getting a senior citizen discount.
In the past we have attended Toronto locations such as The Bellair Cafe,
Centro, Costa Basque, Jaguar, The Amelia Street Cafe, Prego, The Work Restaurant, Bistro 990, La Grolla, The Cambridge Club,
Anthony's, Amsterdam, Delta Chelsea Bun, Penelope, Rotterdam, La Cage, Epikourion, Sheraton Hotel, Studebaker's, Al Frisco's,
Loose Moose, Colony Hotel, Windows at the SkyDome, Alice Fazoolis, Joe Badali's, and Club Lucky, Scruffy Murphys, Shark City,
Opal, Fusion, Boozodis, Bauhaus, Gatsby's, Lula, Strathcona, Ivory, ZaZa, Prego's, Revival, Raq & Waq, 134, Parlour, Hughies,
Windows on Skydome, Figaro's, Harry's New York Bar, Club Lucky, Acrobat, Glass Lounge, Spinello, Berlin, Sundried Tomatoes,
Kama, Ouzeri, Duke of York, Kama, All Stars Pub, Chocolate, Alley Katz, Meow, Halo, Faema, Hughie's, Jai, Manhattan,
Toula, Drake Hotel, Vechhio Frak, Back Alley, Angelini, One Up and Myth.
Why do I do organize NETWORK-NETWORK
? Believe it or not, I like people. Simple as that. My personality is one of a giver. It's my gift that comes back ten fold.
Ciao,
Bill
